The education of our young children is one of the most important jobs for a community. We are educating and nurturing the future leaders for our city, state, businesses, and the world.

Our alumni are doctors, lawyers, business leaders, educators, parents and contributors to the many communities where they live around the world. Our recent graduates (from 8th grade) are successful students in local school districts and other Jewish day schools in the region.

We are proud to have helped the students in our school set the foundation for a successful future.

Our school holds a Private Academic School License from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The curriculum includes both Judaic Studies and General Studies and meets all the requirements of the Department of Education for schools in the Commonwealth.

The benefits of a curriculum where children learn a second language are widely known. From our pre-Kindergarten to our 8th Grade, all students spend part of their day learning the Hebrew Language.

Our standardized test scores show that our students exceed the national average in almost every area that is assessed.

For students who need additional supports, we have resource teachers who provide supports in all areas of instruction. We do our best to support each child’s development, helping each student to reach his/her potential.

I have been the Administrator of The Rabbi David L. Silver Yeshiva Academy since February 2005, but have been an educator since 1973. The teaching and learning processes have always been of interest to me; in a relatively small day school, there are many wonderful opportunities to be part of this process every day.

With the Board of Directors, I am looking forward to continuing the vision and work that began over 60 years ago by Rabbi Silver.
